Dr. Lingmin (Lisa) He is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal disease. She grew up locally in Cupertino, CA and received a B.S. with distinction in biological sciences and graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa along with obtaining a coterminal M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. She then stayed for her medical training at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics where she earned her M.D. and then continued there for her residency training in Ophthalmology. In order to have a different institutional perspective, she left the Bay Area for two years to complete a medical and surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins. While the training was phenomenal, she was eager to return home to join the Retinal Diagnostic Center.

Dr.He has extensive research experience with over 30 published papers and chapters in high impact journals such as Ophthalmology, JAMA Ophthalmology,and Retina. She has a keen interest in entrepreneurship,especially in the creation of new medical technologies. She has worked with local companies on the development of femtosecond assisted cataract surgery, the treatment of retinal vascular diseases, and the use of mobile technology to improve physician communication and patient care. She is excited to maintain her involvement with the latest technologies and treatments in retina by being active with the clinical research being conducted at Retinal Diagnostic Center. She serves as a principal investigator and sub-investigator for our many clinical trials. She is also an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and regional medical groups. She greatly enjoys the time she dedicates to teaching Stanford residents at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto.

Dr.He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is proficient in Spanish.Outside of medicine, she spends time with her husband, three children and dog.They enjoy travel, sports, and discovering new delicious foods.
